Obituary
Mary F. Hargrove

Mary Frances (Ellena) Hargrove, devoted wife, mother, and co-worker, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 5th, 2006, of complications from a lung cancer she had been bravely and quietly battling for over a year now.

Born 12 December, 1946 in Etiwanda, California, she was the first glorious addition to her parents Vivian and Frank Ellena, a noteworthy vintner in the Cucamonga area who raised and sold grapes, wines, and vinegars under the "Regina" and "Senorita" labels. Sister Catherine Anne was born a few years later.

A graduate of Upland High School in 1964, Mary Frances was shortly blessed with her first daughter, named Ellena in honor of her father and family. Mary Frances was prominent in the Upland/Cucamonga area, starting a dress shop with her Aunt Winnie and then becoming involved in real estate and mortgage banking. She was blessed with a second daughter Kristen in 1977, and for years the two girls have remained the focal point of her life.

Moving to Orange County in 1991, she met and married Michael Hargrove, a Westminster resident since 1987. For years, they have shared a kind of marriage that many couples can only dream about -- one of total devotion to each other and everlasting love for one another. The suddenness of her passing has devastated everyone who knew her, and now the family would like to honor her life with a shor t service on Good Friday, 14 April, 2006 at 6:00 pm, at 15362 Oakcliff Drive in Westminster. Those who wish to informally stop in to pay respects are invited to do so any time after 3:00 pm Friday.
